Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
